Our heritage

Taylor and Son can boast a long history in the plastering industry dating back to 1911 when Bryan’s grandfather Walter started work as an improver, what today would be called an apprentice.  He went on to be an accomplished craftsman and together with his son David went on to work on contracts all over London.

The company as it exists today was formed by Bryan Taylor who gained his initial knowledge and interest from his grandfather and father and continued his training at Vauxhall College of Building in London where he attained his City and Guilds and advanced craft certificates.  He went on to work on many prestigious contracts all over the country while working for various London Ornamental Plasterwork companies.  He also gained experience working in the studios at Pinewood where he was involved in the building of film sets from plaster and fibreglass.

The company is now run in partnership with his son Kevin who is also trained in all aspects of the business.
